Book in a minute. The paperwork prints at booking, a dispatcher confirms the pickup, and every milestone lands in your inbox and on a tracking link you can forward to the receiver.
Price it
Postal codes, pallets and weight. Instant and firm where we hold a tariff; a two-hour clock where we do not.

Book it
Addresses from your book, a pickup window, references and any dangerous-goods declaration. The bill of lading and pallet labels print immediately.

Track it
Dispatched, picked up, out for delivery, delivered. Proof of delivery lands on the shipment page and one invoice follows.

Companies that ship their own freight
You move a few pallets a week and would rather keep one login than open an account, a credit file and a rate sheet at four carriers. Price LTL, truckload, local cartage and hotshot on one form, book the one you want, and get one invoice for the shipment.
Companies that move freight for others
Brokers, 3PLs, forwarders and carriers quote the lanes outside their own footprint here. The same prices a shipper sees, invoiced GST/HST zero-rated under the interline rule, with API keys and webhooks when you want the rates inside your own system.
Cities we price
Every lane touching the city, with the lowest two-pallet LTL price we hold today.
Every service on one quote form
Pick it on the form and the engine prices it from the same ladders a dispatcher uses.
LTL freight
Palletized freight that does not fill a trailer: cartons on pallets, crated equipment, drums, totes, building products.
- Per-pallet pricing by postal-code zone, the Canadian LTL convention
- Fuel, tailgate, residential and appointment charges declared up front
- Firm prices hold for 7 days; the quote is the invoice
Set the account up once
Your consignees, pallet profiles and every quote you have taken live in one place, so the next shipment is three fields and a click. Opening an account is free and needs no card, and you can invite your team from the same page.
Straight answers
What is FreightSonar?
FreightSonar is a Canadian freight platform based in Markham, Ontario. One account prices LTL, full truckload, local cartage, hotshot, temperature-controlled and dangerous-goods freight across the country: instantly on the lanes we hold rates for, and through a dispatch desk within 2 business hours everywhere else. Bookings produce a bill of lading, tracking link, proof of delivery and one invoice, whichever carrier ends up hauling the freight.
Do I need a separate account with each carrier?
No. FreightSonar is the broker of record on every shipment: we book and pay the carrier, so your account covers every lane and every service we price. You quote once, book once, and get one invoice and one place to track the load and file a claim. Nothing changes when the freight moves on a different carrier next week.
Is the quote really the final price?
Yes, for the freight as declared. A firm price holds for 7 days after you take it, and the quote becomes the invoice. If the pieces, weight or site conditions differ at pickup or delivery, the re-rated line and any accessorial appear as their own lines with proof.
Can a broker, 3PL or forwarder buy freight here?
Yes. Register the organization as a carrier, broker or forwarder, give your GST/HST number and tick the interline declaration, and every quote and invoice on the account is GST/HST zero-rated on the whole subtotal, fuel included. You get the same prices the engine gives a shipper, so what you charge your own customer is yours to set. API keys and webhooks put the rates inside your own system.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Canada. Lanes across the West and into the Prairies price from our own tariffs and zone tables. Lanes into Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada usually price instantly as an estimate, which a dispatcher confirms before you book. Anything we cannot price instantly goes to a dispatcher, who answers within 2 business hours. Canada only, no parcel and no cross-border.
Do I need an account to get a price?
No. Quotes are free and instant without an account. Booking, tracking, invoices and your team's history need a free account, and a quote emailed to you can be claimed into one with one click.
