Transparent freight pricing, line by line
Canadian LTL is priced per pallet by destination zone; we publish the structure, show every line before you book, and make the quote the invoice.
Get a quoteFour lines, nothing else
1 · Linehaul
A ladder rung: the rate for your pallet count into the destination zone. Full loads price per move.
2 · Fuel
A published percentage of the linehaul, LTL or truckload, from the weekly diesel index.
3 · Accessorials
Only what you ask for or your addresses need: tailgate, residential, appointment, inside, limited access.
4 · Tax
GST, HST or QST by the delivery province.
Why per-pallet pricing beats weight-and-class
Freight class and dimensional weight were built for US LTL networks. Canadian LTL ships on pallets, so we price on pallets: you can predict the cost of the next pallet without a tariff book.
| Pallets | How it prices | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Rung 1 or 2 of the zone ladder, subject to the minimum | Samples, parts, single crates |
| 3–6 | Rungs 3 to 6; each added pallet costs less than the last | Store replenishment, small production runs |
| 7–12 | Rungs 7 to 12, approaching the full-load cap | Half-trailer loads, project freight |
| 13+ | Full load, priced per move with dedicated equipment | Full trailers, over-height, fragile |

Pricing questions
›Are there hidden fees?
No. Linehaul, fuel, each accessorial and tax are separate lines on the quote, and the quote becomes the invoice for the freight as declared. If the freight differs at pickup, the re-rated line and any extra service are itemized with proof.
›What is the fuel surcharge?
A percentage of the linehaul from a stepped diesel index, updated weekly and shown with its effective date. Truckload uses a higher percentage than LTL, as the industry does.
›What accessorials cost extra?
Tailgate (power liftgate) at pickup or delivery, residential, limited access, appointment, inside delivery, after-hours and rush. Each is a flat house rate, shown when you tick it.
›How is a pallet counted?
A 48 × 40 or 48 × 48 footprint up to 84 inches high and 2,000 lb. Heavier freight bills at weight-equivalent pallets; taller freight prices as a full load. Non-stackable freight takes its own position.
›Which tax applies?
The destination province's sales tax: GST in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; HST in Ontario and Atlantic Canada; GST plus QST in Quebec once we register there.
›Do prices change after I quote?
A firm quote holds for 7 days for the freight as described. Estimates are confirmed by a dispatcher before they become firm.
