Cover the lanes you do not run.
Brokers, 3PLs, forwarders and carriers price freight here that falls outside their own footprint. The same instant prices a shipper sees, invoices zero-rated under the interline rule, and a dispatcher inside 30 business minutes on anything the engine does not price.
Talk to the deskOne account for every lane you do not cover
Instant prices on lanes you skip today
The same engine a shipper uses: per-pallet ladders by postal-code zone where we hold a tariff, partner rate cards elsewhere. Quote your customer while they are still on the phone.
Zero-rated interline invoicing
Register as a carrier, broker or forwarder, give your GST/HST number and tick the declaration. Every quote and invoice after that is GST/HST zero-rated on the whole subtotal, fuel included.
Your margin stays yours
The bill of lading and the tracking link carry no prices, so what you charge your customer is between you and them.
Rates inside your own system
API keys and signed webhooks quote, book and push status into your TMS. Issue the keys from the developer page in your account.
A quote page in your own name
We can serve the quote tool on your domain, in your colours, with your logo and your dispatch address on the emails. It is configuration rather than a build, so ask the desk.
Net terms after a credit check
New accounts prepay by card, pre-authorized debit or EFT. Approved accounts are invoiced at delivery on the terms we agree.
Three steps to a price you can quote on
- 01
Register the account
Name the organization, then tell us who you bill. Your GST/HST number and the interline declaration set the tax treatment on everything that follows, and you can change it later on the organization page.
- 02
Price the lane
Two postal codes, the pallets and their weight. Instant where we hold a tariff or a partner rate card, a dispatcher inside 30 business minutes where we do not. Tailgate, site access and dangerous goods are priced at booking before you confirm.
- 03
Book it and invoice your customer
You book, we dispatch and we invoice you zero-rated. The bill of lading, tracking link, proof of delivery and documents sit on the shipment page for you to forward.
Already know the lane? Price it now without an account, then claim the quote when you register.
Tell us which lanes you need
A dispatcher replies within one business day, and you can start quoting before we do.
Hauling instead
Carriers who want to run our loads apply on the carriers page.
Where we go
All of Canada, and Canada only. Instant where we hold rates, desk-priced everywhere else.
Services
LTL, truckload, local cartage, hotshot, reefer and dangerous goods.
Documents
Bill of lading, pallet labels, tracking link, proof of delivery and one invoice on every booking.
Before you open a partner account
›Can I resell these prices to my own customers?
Yes, on an account registered as a carrier, broker or forwarder. That is what the account type is for: you quote your customer, you set your own number, and we invoice you. Scraping the rates or republishing them as a rate sheet is a different thing and is not allowed.
›Do I get the same prices as a shipper?
Yes. The engine returns the same number whoever asks. What changes on a registered carrier, broker or forwarder account is the tax: your invoice is GST/HST zero-rated on the whole subtotal under the interline rule, so you are not fronting tax you have to claim back.
›Whose name is on the bill of lading?
FreightSonar is the carrier of record, so the bill of lading, the tracking page and the proof of delivery carry our name. None of them shows a price. If you want the quote page itself on your own domain, in your colours and with your dispatch address on the emails, the desk can set that up.
›What happens on a lane the engine prices as an estimate?
A dispatcher confirms it before it can be booked, on the same 30 business minute clock, and you get a firm bookable number by email. Hotshot and open-deck equipment always go to a dispatcher.
›Can I quote a lane before I have won the freight?
Yes. Quotes are free and unlimited. Take the price, hold it for the 7 days it stays firm, and book only if your customer says yes.
›Who carries the liability?
We do. FreightSonar contracts with you for the carriage and selects and pays the hauling carrier. Liability is $4.41 per kilogram ($2.00 per pound) under the uniform conditions of carriage, unless a higher value is declared at booking.
›How do I pay?
New accounts prepay by card, pre-authorized debit or EFT at booking. Once we have run a credit check you are invoiced at delivery on agreed terms; apply from the billing page in your account.
Price a lane you do not run
No account needed to see the number. Firm prices hold for 7 days, and a dispatcher answers anything the engine does not price within 30 business minutes.
